I’m fascinated by the connection between people and their environment. I use words, photos and digital media to explore that connection and inspire others to do the same.
I began to form my connection near Mount Shasta, Calif. where I developed a love for the outdoors, particularly skiing.
I studied at Sierra Nevada College near Lake Tahoe where my education included managing the student newspaper, backpacking during all seasons, canyoneering in Utah and skipping class on a powder day. I developed a fascination for how environments shape a person and a growing concern for how we as people are shaping the environment.
Since then, I’ve worked as a writer, editor and digital content manager. I tell stories through a variety of mediums including feature articles and blogs, marketing and product copy, press releases and social media.
My love for skiing and a foolhardy sense of adventure led me to joining Coalition Snow, the world’s first all women’s ski and snowboard company. Not only do I help tell Coalition’s story but I make sure it’s heard through strategic networking both within the ski industry and in non-endemic markets.
In the past I’ve also worked on skis as an instructor, race coach and course setter. I’ve turned screws at the local ski shop, delivered pizzas, poured beer at the community brewery and spent a year as a live-in nanny.
I’m seeking the opportunity to continue exploring people and their environment and to share stories that help shape a sustainable and inclusive future for our world.
